WINERIES IN FREDERICKSBURG

Voted “Best Tasting Room” 2020, 2021, 2022, and “Best Winery” 2021, 2022, Texas Heritage Vineyard makes ALL their own wines with 100% Texas grapes. With over 59 medals for wines in just the last two years, including 6 Double-Golds and 13 Golds! High praise, but low-key Texas hospitality with a beautiful, hill country view off the back decks. Open seven days a week, with live music Fridays and Sundays. Please note, our last drop off at this location is at 2pm, and the last pickup is at 4pm.

The Resort at Fredericksburg has one of the largest wine production facilities in the state of Texas and boasts a 100% Texas-made wine selection. Their grapes are exclusively estate-grown deep in the heart of the Texas High Plains. From the stem of the vine to the stem of the glass, each The Resort at Fredericksburg wine is carefully crafted throughout the entire winemaking process. Please note, our last drop off at this location is at 3pm, and the last pickup is at 4:30pm.

Safari Winery is owned and operated by the Itz Family – whose ancestors date back to the very beginning of Fredericksburg’s establishment in the mid 1800s. They wanted to bring something new and exciting to the Texas Hill Country through their love for wine and adventure. The Swahili word “safari” translates to “journey,” and this is exactly what this winery is all about. Start your journey at Safari Winery and experience a curated collection of delicious and unique wines from South Africa and Chile.

Longhorn Cellars is a cozy, ranch-inspired winery complete with longhorn cattle and a legendary white donkey. Come sit on the patio or indoors and enjoy some true Texan hospitality. Saturdays often include live music and complimentary small bites to enjoy with award-winning wines. Longhorn Cellars’ wine selection is immense, specializing in dry white, rosé, and bold red wines.

Barons Creek Vineyards is a beautiful Italian-styled winery with carefully curated wines from all over the USA. Their tasting room offers private tasting experiences for 2 to 20 customers. They also have overnight accommodations on the property that are well appointed and ready for any celebration. The outdoor Pavilion is a great place to enjoy live music around their large fountain and exquisite Italian villas.

Barons Creek Vineyards strives to provide each visitor with an experience that would make even the most discriminating nobility feel at home. They look forward to sharing their wines, winery, and vineyards with you and offer tastings to accommodate wine lovers of every distinction. Tastings are done seated at the tasting bar and there is a fee for five wines. You may choose your tasting between a reds-only flight or a mixed flight. Barons Creek uses corks with their bottles and tastings are poured from a measured pourer.

Our 1693 Distillery captures the unique richness, depth and complexity of local flavors and smooth taste. Seeking the Lone Star State’s promising life and land, our project’s Founder Stewart Lawrence Skloss’ fourth great-grandfather, Heinrich “Henry” Ochs, moved his family from Germany to Gillespie County in 1851. Henry established one of the first distilleries in Gillespie County and saloons in Fredericksburg. Originally called Buckhorn Whiskey, the family’s personal recipe, made from local harvest of course, was served at the popular local watering hole. We use the same hand-crafted recipe, known for its tried-and-true taste.

The premier working winery experience on Fredericksburg’s 290 Wine Trail, Grape Creek Vineyards welcomes you to its Tuscan-inspired tasting rooms. Taste award-winning wines amid beautifully landscaped patios, fountains, and terraces. Tour the estate vineyards and state-of-the-art winery, barrel room, and private tasting room. Heath Sparkling Wines is the first Texas winery completely dedicated to sparkling wines, sold exclusively through the winery and the new Heath Sparkling Wine Club. Located next to Grape Creek Vineyards, Heath Sparkling Wines showcases vintage sparkling wines in an architecturally stunning new tasting room featuring modern, clean lines and gorgeous vineyard views through uninterrupted windowscapes. The multi-sensory tasting experience includes a flight of sparkling wines, side by side, with a perfectly selected accompaniment, and virtual tour.

Slate Theory Winery takes pride in its uniqueness. This pride extends from their uncommon, artistic styling, to our impressive underground cellar, and includes their one-of-a-kind wine-making philosophy. They use 100% Texas, high-quality fruit from their Estate Vineyards and reputable growers. Their goal is to use their wine and artistic style to engage all of your senses, as well as your mind.

Surrounded by lavender fields and beautiful views, Becker Vineyards offers a warm welcome and a rich tradition of Texas winemaking. From their award-winning wines to their historic estate winery, Becker Vineyards blends vintage inspiration with Hill Country charm. Whether you’re visiting for a classic tasting or planning a special event, Becker Vineyards is a must-see destination of elegance, hospitality, and unforgettable flavors.

When you first arrive at Fat Ass Ranch & Winery, you’ll know immediately you are in Texas. The outside has a large seating area complete with the back of a bus with cushions, a contraption which looks like the moonshine still mentioned but has the end result of wine, tractor, men’s and women’s restrooms built from silos, and more. The outside décor continues inside the winery and you can tell the person responsible for it had a lot of fun with the theme and was very imaginative.

As you might expect, based on its cheeky name, Fat Ass Ranch & Winery is a laid-back establishment that emphasizes fun over formality. Their inventory is dominated by a wide array of sweet wines featuring strawberry, raspberry, peach, and watermelon flavor profiles. For a truly unique and unpretentious Texas wine-tasting experience, try this winery.

Welcome to the Fat Ass Ranch, where they’ve proudly introduced a unique addition: their very own brewery! Come on over to Fat Ass Brewery and indulge in a pint of their exceptional craft brews, brewed right on site. While you’re there, immerse yourself in the authentic car enthusiast memorabilia and Texan charm that fills the space. And for those who prefer wine, fear not—they’ve got you covered at the brewery too! As your ultimate destination for good times and budget-friendly libations in Fredericksburg, Fat Ass Brewery is eager to welcome you.

The patio area at Texas Wine Collective is sunny and beautiful and there are a variety of wines available. Depending on what type of wine you enjoy, you will receive a curated list of wines to choose from. For Texas Wine Collective members, there are quarterly wine pick-up parties with live music and complimentary hot food. Please note, our last drop off at this location is at 4pm.

Located along the 290 Wine Trail, Andreucci Winery brings you superior wine from their family to yours with a legacy of 7 generations of Italian winemakers. In Tuscany, their grapes are still hand-picked with loving care and meticulously processed. Their winemaking traditions have been handed down through their family from generation to generation since 1794. It is their pleasure to share the fruits of their labor with you.

Barelle Vineyards was created to showcase and elevate women-wine-makers from Texas and abroad. Each uniquely crafted wine shows off the wine-makers skill at bringing all the elements of art and science to your palette. Enjoy a glass or bottle in their un-pretentious and relaxed atmosphere that their team creates for our visitors every day!

A very unique Texas wine experience consisting of six award-winning Texas wineries in one location, the historic Rocky Hill School complex. You can enjoy your wine tastings in an old tobacco barn brought in from Tennessee, which is beautiful and rustic, with a very historical background. In addition to the regular wines, they have meads and frozen wine-a-ritas for the person who wants to enjoy a tasty frozen beverage on a hot day. Blue Lotus Winery and Texas Mead Works became valued suppliers and colleagues in early 2017, and Copper Star Cellars joined in during the summer of 2017. Blue Lotus and Copper Star both source all of their grapes from either their own grape vines or from other Texas growers. Six Shooter Cellars also has a party room on the south side of the store that can easily accommodate up to 30 persons.
